How to Use ScholarAI

Generate a complete academic paper in under 3 minutes.

Getting Started

Purchase a Plan
Choose Basic, Standard or Pro on the login page. Pay securely via Paystack using your card, bank transfer or USSD.

Get Your Access Code
After payment, your unique access code is sent to your email immediately. Save it — you'll need it every time you log in.

Log In
Enter your email address and access code on the login page. You'll be taken straight to your personal dashboard.

Generate Your Article
Click Generate Article, fill in the form and click the generate button. Your PDF will be ready in 2-3 minutes.

Generating an Article

Go to Generate Article in the sidebar and fill in the following fields:

1. Research Topic

Enter your topic as specifically as possible. The more focused the topic, the better the output.

2. Author Name(s)

Type your preferred name or use the Generate Name button to get a random academic name. You can keep up to 3 names. Most generated names are plain (no titles) — click Generate multiple times to find one you like.

3. Publication Date

Select the date that will appear on the title page of your PDF. Defaults to today.

4. Citations

Choose your citation mode:

DOI Mode
Automatic Lookup
Enter a bare DOI number (e.g. 10.1145/3442188.3445922) and ScholarAI automatically fetches the paper details, authors and year from CrossRef, Semantic Scholar and OpenAlex. You can add up to 5 DOIs.
APA Mode
Manual Citation
Paste a complete APA 7th edition reference and ScholarAI extracts the inline citation format automatically. Useful when you have a specific source that may not have a DOI. Up to 3 citations.
✦ Finding a DOI

Search your topic on Google Scholar → click a paper → look for "DOI:" in the citation. It looks like 10.xxxx/xxxxx. Copy just the number — no https://doi.org/ prefix needed.

During Generation

After clicking Generate, keep the browser tab open. The loading screen shows real-time progress through 7 steps:

Generation takes 2-3 minutes. Do not refresh or close the tab during this time.

Getting Your PDF

When generation is complete, you'll see two buttons:

All your articles are also saved to My Articles in your dashboard for easy access anytime.

What is included in the generated article? ▾
Every article includes: Title page with your name and date, Table of Contents, Abstract (300-400 words), Chapter 1: Introduction, Chapter 2: Literature Review, Chapter 3: Methodology, Chapter 4: Results & Discussion, Chapter 5: Conclusion, and a full APA 7th edition References list. Delivered as a professional PDF.
Can I generate multiple articles? ▾
Yes! You can generate as many articles as you need during your plan period. Each generation is independent. You can open multiple browser tabs to run generations simultaneously.
What if generation fails or times out? ▾
If generation fails, click the Retry button that appears. Your inputs are saved so you don't need to re-enter everything. If it keeps failing, try again with a slightly different topic or check your internet connection.
I lost my access code. What do I do? ▾
Click "Forgot your access code?" on the login page and enter your email. Your access code will be resent immediately. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within 2 minutes.
Can I use ScholarAI on my phone? ▾
Yes, ScholarAI works on any device with a modern browser. However, for the best experience we recommend using a laptop or desktop, especially during generation.
My plan expired. Can I still access my articles? ▾
After your plan expires you cannot generate new articles, but your previously generated PDFs remain in your Google Drive and are accessible anytime via the links in your email or Drive. Renew your plan to continue generating.
